A dealer bringing drugs into the South West has been jailed for more than four years.

In February of 2016, staff from Zephyr South operations commenced an operation under the name of Delta 2 whereby an individual, O’Shane Grant, was believed to be bringing Class A drugs into the South West for onward distribution in Yeovil and Dorchester.

The following month Grant was known to have travelled to the Southwark area of London where he only stayed for a very short period.  On the second occasion he carried out this journey, resources were deployed and officers from Tri-Force stopped Grant on the A303 near Winterbourne Stoke, Wiltshire in a van he had hired.

A search of his vehicle revealed he had 138 grammes of high purity Crack Cocaine valued at £13790 hidden beneath the driver’s seat.

Following trial at Salisbury Crown Court, on the 8th May 2017 Grant was found guilty of Possession with Intent To Supply and sentenced to 4yrs 6 months imprisonment.
